I am an interdisciplinary artist, focused on divergent methodologies in painting, installation, and animation. In my studio practice, I portray local labor unions and familiar objects, like BBQ grills. My work is assertively political and intimately heartfelt. Both the advocative and humanist themes are personal.
I received my BA from the University of Pennsylvania and my MFA from Boston University. My work has been on exhibit in numerous museums, galleries, and academic institutions throughout the United States and abroad. Highlights include solo shows at Työväenmuseo Werstas (Tampere, Finland), Grand Central Madison (New York, NY), Museum of Work & Culture (Woonsocket, RI), Czong Institute for Contemporary Art, (Gimpo-si, South Korea), University of Maine Museum of Art (Bangor, ME), and RARE Gallery (New York, NY). I am a Senior Lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Boston. I live in Boston, Massachusetts with my wife and three ebullient sons.
